A flexible-benefit plan, often known as a full-flex plan, is a benefit under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code that allows employees to choose between cash pay and non-taxable benefits, including life and health insurance, retirement plans, and care for children. Employers typically contribute to all plan-eligible workers, and employees utilize those payments to purchase a variety of benefits. Workers can also make pre-tax repayments to any benefit that is not completely covered by employer payments.
