Hybrid Working Model | Meaning and Definition

What is a hybrid working model?

It is one of the working models that allow the employees to blend working from different environments like work from home, in-office, and on the go. With the hybrid working model, the place where you are going to work is no longer inside the walls of a corporate office.

Hybrid working models

Before enabling or deploying a hybrid work model in your organization, depending upon your organization structure, you have to choose one of the best approaches that are mentioned below.

  • Remote working – This is the primary option chosen by most employees in the organizations. Depending upon the types of businesses, the arrangements in the organizations may vary. Most organizations own a small workspace, most commonly used for meetings, for those who prefer working in the office, or for those job roles which require physical presence.
  • Office- first – This model allows employees to work in the office for a few days and to work remotely for a few days. For example, Google decided to implement this hybrid model, which allows their employees to work in the office for three days a week and have the freedom to choose to work remotely for the remaining two days.
  • Office-Occasional – This model is now preferred by most businesses with their own office space. This model allows employees to work in the office for a few times a week, and this strategy blends both the in-person work and individual solo work.

Advantages of Hybrid Working Model

It helps the employees to achieve a work-life balance. The hybrid working model, when implemented correctly, can be able to generate a culture of transparency.

Human-First HRMS for an AI-World

“I was able to implement the platform on my own. It helps in assigning the tasks to other employees, conducting surveys & polls & much more. The ease of use & self-onboarding is something that I would like to appreciate.”
