Claims Adjuster | Job Description Template

To join our team, we’re seeking an experienced claims adjuster. You’ll deal with processing insurance claims on a daily basis. To determine claim liability, you’ll look at property damage and physical injuries. 

You’ll do it by acquiring information from a variety of sources, such as by interviewing claimants, witnesses, or experts (e.g. policyholders, physicians, or engineers). You’ll need strong analytical thinking and great writing abilities to succeed in this profession.

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma from a high school
• A bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, or a related profession is preferred.

Skills required for the job

• Previous experience as a claims adjuster or in a similar position is preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills 
• Strong working experience with assessment software
• Writing detailed reports is an asset.
• A sympathetic and tenacious personality
